Important notes for NEO Pro 3.x /4.0 / 4.1-beta users

2 - What’s new in this build 474

3 - How it relates to your NEO Pro 3.x version:

When upgrading to 4.1, your registry and other settings will be copied for use with version 4. There will be no changes to the original v3 settings. It is advised to install NEO Pro 4.1 over your current NEO Pro version. You will be using the same catalog(s) with v4 (for using IMAP functionality see below). Some features of 4.1 will only be available after rebuilding the catalog: go to File | Catalog | Rebuild Catalog.

An upgrade license is needed to use the product beyond the evaluation period.

4 - Upgrading from NEO Pro 4.0 version:

Some features will only be available after rebuilding the catalog: go to File | Catalog | Rebuild Catalog. Version 4.1 is a free upgrade for licensed NEO Pro 4.0 users.

5 - Using IMAP functionality:

For using NEO Pro 4.1 with your IMAP message store you can either create a separate IMAP catalog or you can include the IMAP message store in your current catalog to combine the IMAP messages store with other PST files.

6 - NEO Rules:

Version 4 introduces NEO Rules which are accessible from the Tools menu. When in incidental cases, this new option is not available, please reset manually the main menu: right-click the toolbar, select Customize and click Reset with the main menu highlighted.

What is NEO Pro

NEO Pro is a refreshing new interface for managing and searching email. It automatically organizes your email into easy-to-access views. On-the-fly word indexing and a web-style search makes finding messages a breeze - search thousands of messages in seconds. Message filtering lets you zero in on your important mail quickly.

An alternative interface for Microsoft Outlook email, NEO Pro works with Outlook Personal Stores, offline Stores, Microsoft Exchange Server mailboxes and IMAP message stores. You can compose, reply, forward, send and receive all from within NEO Pro, and you can switch easily between NEO Pro and Outlook whenever you like.

NEO Pro Evaluation

The NEO Pro evaluation is a fully-functional product. You may try all NEO Pro features free of charge for 60 days using an evaluation license you will receive when you start NEO Pro. You can purchase NEO Pro at any time. After the trial period, NEO Pro will no longer start unless you register. Registering NEO Pro will unlock it for you for permanent use - there is no need to download again.

System Requirements

· Windows 98/Me, Win NT, Win 2000, Win XP, Vista or Windows 7.

· Microsoft Outlook 98, 2000, 2002(XP), 2003, 2007 or Outlook 2010 installed.

Notes:

· NEO Pro does not work with Microsoft Outlook Express.

· Even though Microsoft Outlook needs to be installed, it does not need to be running to use NEO Pro. NEO Pro does not interfere with your use of Outlook in any way.

· If using Outlook 2003, please make sure Outlook Service Pack 1 is installed.

How to Install

Download the setup program from our download page and save it on your computer. Close all applications (it's especially important that Outlook and previous versions of NEO Pro or other NEO products are closed), then double-click the downloaded file and follow the directions.

When updating a previously installed NEO Pro, install it over the same file location as before - there is no need to uninstall before updating. It is recommended to reboot after installation. When upgrading from a previous NEO Pro version it is sometimes needed to rebuild the catalog to enable (some of) the new features.

How to Uninstall

· Click Start, then Control Panel then Add/Remove Programs program.

· Select NEO Pro.

· Click either Change or Remove (depends on your system). If you click Change, choose Remove when the dialog appears.

· You can choose whether or not to remove your catalog data. If you believe you will not be using NEO again, then choose to remove it.

· Also, it helps us to know why you are uninstalling NEO Pro. We'd appreciate it if you click the box to give us a reason.
