Problem When starting up, NEO crashes almost instantly. Possible error shown: AppCrash event 1000 faulting module msvcr90.dll or likewise (other error events/modules have been reported also).
Solution Problem is caused by an update installed by Windows Update: 'Update for Microsoft Outlook KB2956128'
To resolve the NEO problem, please uninstall this update: go to Control Panel, Uninstall a Program, View Installed Updates where you can uninstall this particular update.
After you have uninstalled this update, you need to 'hide' the update to avoid it being installed during next Windows update:
- Start manually Windows Update
- Find this update in the list, right-click the update and select Hide Update.
As there have been multiple issues reported on this update, you may like to wait with this update until Microsoft issues an updated version.
Alternatively, upgrading to Outlook 2013 will also solve the problem as this problem has only been reported under Outlook 2010.
