Unable to create a Catalog

Topic T1152 Applies to All NEO Products


You are unable to create a NEO Catalog. As one of the last steps during the Create Catalog wizard, an error occurs that prevents the catalog from being created, or NEO suddenly closes. When you next start NEO, you are prompted to create a catalog again.


This may be caused by a conflict with shared files on your computer, or by a problem by our installation program when installing the files. The problem may be able to be resolved by using local copies of the shared files in question.


Start Windows Explorer and navigate to the NEO install directory, which by default is at C:\Program Files\NEO Pro.

In this directory, you will find three files that we initally install with an 'x' at the end of the name. These files are:


Make a copy of these 3 files within the NEO Pro directory and make sure
they are renamed as follows (i.e., remove the 'x'):
